This time you get to meet Eivind, who is the Regional Manager for Eastern Norway, in Asker, Bærum, Oslo and Østfold!
Who are you and what do you work on?
Eivind Flognfeldt, 38 years old and works as area manager in Asker, Bærum, Oslo and Østfold for Systemkjøp .
Tell us about your background
I have worked in Stavanger's nightlife for 8 years in roles as head chef, bartender, bar manager, general manager, doorman, and owner of a restaurant. I moved back home to Eastern Norway after getting married and having a child in Stavanger and have worked in nightlife and serving in Oslo at Ringnes, among other places, before I am now at Systemkjøp
What do you like to do in your free time?
In the winter I am never far from a snowy mountainside/mountain top, and in the summer I enjoy kiting on the water. I have 2 lovely girls, aged 9 and 5, who I enjoy spending time with. Otherwise, visiting my brother who lives in Hemsedal is popular in the winter, and a lot of time at the cabin at Hvaler in the summer.
How would your family describe you in 3 words?
Restless, Spontaneous and Determined.
What do you see as your strengths in everyday work?
If you run a restaurant, I know your challenges as I have been there myself. Large network of contacts in the industry throughout the country.
Put together your 3-course dream menu:
Hmmmm. I would either leave this to the chef where I'm eating or to my father who is a serious hobby chef. Personally, I'm omnivorous and appreciate most good ingredients.
What is your best culinary experience?
I have a wonderful memory from when I lived in Spain. In Marbella, we were a group of friends and ate 22 courses at the restaurant Calima by master chef Dani Garcia. We went from highlight to highlight, we were fed, served, and simply pampered. Otherwise, my visits to the old NOMA are very important, I haven't tried the new location yet, so it's high on the list!
