The Transparency Act and what we commit to

Respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions is important for us as a company to adhere to. In Systemkjøp We want to help provide information about how our partners handle conditions that may have a negative impact on fundamental rights.

Doing a good job on this will of course be a competitive advantage for us, but it will also give us good tools in our own business and to influence other actors to make more responsible choices. We expect all our suppliers to also take this into account. Systemkjøp wants to contribute to greater transparency in the industry.

As a company, we are committed to: Systemkjøp us to:

  • Conduct due diligence assessments in line with OECD guidelines

  • Follow up and annually report on our due diligence assessments alone and through our owners in Servicegrossistene .

  • Inform and respond to inquiries about fundamental human rights and labor conditions, both generally and related to the goods and services we provide.

What is the status of Systemkjøp ?

Systemkjøp is a subsidiary of Servicegrossistene , and has many of the same partners and suppliers. Most of the goods are delivered through Servicegrossistene's various wholesalers. The visibility information will thus be anchored through the agreements Servicegrossistene has created with their contacts.

In addition to matching suppliers through Servicegrossistene , has Systemkjøp own agreements with a selection of direct suppliers. These are the partners Systemkjøp works closely with, and which involves agreements and information exchange that are continuously maintained.

Servicegrossistene has been a member of Ethical Trade Norway since 2015, and has systematically worked on mapping and risk assessment of suppliers. Servicegrossistene AS has achieved Ethical Trading Norway's basic level for due diligence assessments for the reporting year 2021. The company meets the strict requirements set by law, and has clear ambitions to be classified at a higher level in the future.

Service wholesalers and Systemkjøp : A shared focus on transparency

Complying with current requirements in connection with the Transparency Act is something both Servicegrossistene and Systemkjøp takes for granted. We work closely together every day to ensure quality in the work we do. See figure below.

  • Embedding sustainability in business is about having relevant policies and guidelines in place, and effective management systems for their implementation.

At Servicegrossistene and at Systemkjøp A sustainability strategy with relevant goals has been established. We are clear externally about our responsibility to work with due diligence assessments and sustainable purchasing practices. A common Code of Conduct has been established to be signed by all suppliers via self-declaration and cooperation agreements, and routines for selection, approval, cooperation and follow-up of suppliers.

  • Mapping is about identifying the risk of negative impact in the supply chain by establishing an overall risk picture and then prioritizing significant risk areas for more thorough mapping. Both Servicegrossistene and Systemkjøp commits us to have an overview of all manufacturers, countries of production and countries of origin and to conduct risk assessments on prioritized suppliers.

  • Based on the risk assessment and prioritization of risks in step two, plans must be prepared with measures that will be implemented to stop, prevent and reduce the risk of negative impact. Once prioritized risks have been established, measures must be implemented, and in collaboration with Servicegrossistene also has Systemkjøp a plan that describes what we are doing to stop, reduce or prevent negative impacts on the prioritized risk. This could be following up with a supplier, certifying a raw material or seeking collaboration to influence a complex issue.

  • Monitoring the implementation and effect of measures is about the good implementation of due diligence assessments, and whether we implement effective measures to prevent recurring deviations. Measures should be evaluated to see if the desired effect has been achieved.

  • Systemkjøp and Servicegrossistene are open about the assessments made in our value chains in dialogue with customers and other stakeholders. We will report openly about measures and challenges through Ethical Trade Norway's reports.

  • In case of deviations, Servicegrossistene / Systemkjøp Take action to ensure that those responsible for the breach in our value chain rectify this. For deviations for which we are not responsible, we will influence measures to be taken where the breach occurred.
