Go2 grill Patricias Gatekjøkken to the final!
Patricias Gatekjøkken in Bardu, led by Anne-Lise Sørensen, is one of three finalists in the Norwegian Directorate of Health's award for facilitating a healthier diet.
Among the many nominees are Patricias Gatekjøkken and the GO2 grill concept, which continues to compete for the award given by the Norwegian Directorate of Health. Anne-Lise Sørensen, who owns and operates the street food restaurant, says that regardless of awards and accolades, a healthy diet is something she has been strongly committed to for several years.
“I have never believed that healthy food is only reserved for venues other than fast food,” says Anne-Lise. “Our vegetarian, fish or chicken dishes are on par with the classic beef burgers, and with the right presentation of the food, customers have welcomed our healthier alternatives with open arms!”
Patricias Gatekjøkken and the GO2 grill chain have been a pioneer in the industry, and together with selected, good suppliers such as Slåtto, customers have in recent years been served more and more healthier and better alternatives to classic fast food.
Every 5th burger Anne-Lise served in 2020 was chicken, fish or vegetarian, and every other fries was sweet potato. Patricias Gatekjøkken and Anne-Lise Sørensen have proven that fast food customers also want to be able to choose healthy alternatives, and she encourages the industry to support this trend. “We have to care about our customers, have food for everyone and listen to our customers. – Customers want healthy food!”, says Anne-Lise. If we can offer food that appeals to larger customer groups, we will get more customers, which in turn leads to more sales, better positioning and competitiveness. It is good for the store to offer healthier fast food on the menu.
