Patricias Gatekjøkken with a solid podium finish!
Anne-Lise Sørensen and her fast food restaurant won 3rd place in the prestigious "Healthier Marketing" award from the Ministry of Health and Care Services on February 5, 2021. Through a versatile and varied menu, and a conscious focus on healthier alternatives, Anne-Lise and her fast food restaurant have experienced tremendous enthusiasm among their customers. At Patricias Gatekjøkken in Bardu, more and more people are eating healthier. This is not only profitable for the fast food restaurant, but also for public health.
That a street food restaurant would be among the last three finalists in a competition for healthier food was perhaps not in the cards. When it comes to street food, few people think about health, but now things are starting to happen. Anne-Lise Sørensen and Patricias Gatekjøkken are one of the players leading the trend in the industry, and Anne-Lise encourages all her colleagues to follow up on the initiative around healthier street food.
GO2 grill is a serving concept from the purchasing chain Systemkjøp , and with Anne-Lise Sørensen as one of the spearheads, the focus on healthier street food has been a focus area for a long time. With suppliers such as Norsk Storhusholdning on board, tasty healthier dishes have been developed that are no less than traditional street food. There has also been a focus on marketing the healthier alternatives, and every fifth burger Patricias Gatekjøkken served in 2020 was chicken, fish or vegetarian. Anne-Lise says that the trend is only increasing, and that healthier alternatives are something more and more guests are demanding. Much of the reason why GO2 grill and Patricias Gatekjøkken have succeeded with healthier food is that the dishes are not considered "alternatives", but as full-fledged dishes that are no less than classic street food.
